I’m getting into a groove finally with the self-isolation and the wearing of a mask when I’m in public. This morning, I ran in the light falling rain. It was beautiful and exactly what my body has been begging me for. I decided to stop for some bread and milk on the way home and was really appalled at how lightly people are taking this pandemic. The guy behind me wouldn’t keep his six foot distance in the grocery store until I said, “Please honor the six foot distance, I don’t know you and you don’t know me. We could be dead in 24 hours.” He stepped back. An eighty year old crowded the woman who stood in front of him. He began arguing with a homeless schizophrenic male who jumped the line. I was afraid. Some things, I need to learn to let go of. There is so much out of my control.

Graciella speaks; I channel her words and sentiment- Theresa
We ask for help. We aren’t meant to do things by ourselves all of the time as humans. There is always someone who knows more than we do. Ask. Don’t be shy or afraid to request help from someone. Once we ask for help, there’s another step. Taking action.
We may not like what we hear. Or we think that we actually do know more than the person we’ve queried. That may be true but if we’ve asked a particular person why aren’t we trusting them when they’ve responded? It’s a tricky situation. We don’t mean to simplify what could be a complicated enterprise.
In the case of this pandemic, we are not exempt or unique in our situations. We’ve all been asked to keep six foot distancing, to wash hands, wash hands, wash hands, and to strongly consider wearing face coverings. Why not do that? Why do we second guess that type of information and act as though we know better?
I feel as though it’s me, Theresa, griping here. But that isn’t what is happening in this reading. Graciella wants you to be prudent and to go to others for advice and to listen to what you hear.
In light and love in healing,
Graciella y Theresa
