Graciella speaks. I channel her words, wisdom, and sentiment. -Theresa
Health is so much more than the state of our physical being. Many of us have the tendency to overlook the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of our beings. Don a nice white shirt or a beautiful burgundy colored shimmering dress and voila! we are gorgeous. Our outsides often don’t match our insides.
Working from the inside out is a most profound way for healing. Often, we look to the outside for approval, recognition, and advice. While these measures are helpful, Graciella encourages us to seek out our intuitions and to pay heed to the inner knowing. As we ask ourselves what aspects are ourselves are in need in healing, we are urged to assess and truly listen to what we ourselves tell ourselves.
We may not like what we hear. We may tell ourselves that we need to stop smoking. That’s way too hard! We may listen and hear that we shouldn’t pile on two plates of food at dinner. But’s that’s only because this particular dish is so delicious! We may hear that using a condom with that new partner is the safe thing to do. But he may not think I’m sexy!
Just as likely, we may feel an urgency to grow our spiritual selves. We may have been turned off by what the religious lives we were introduced to as children. Well, it has been a long time since we were children. Our spiritual lives do not belong to our parents. They are ours and ours alone. Have you reflected on what works for you? Just saying, I’m spiritual, without thought and practice leaves a great deal of room to have a bountiful spiritual life.
Today, I will reflect on what may service my health needs. I may be surprised at what I find but I am open to growth and change within a healthy framework of life!
In the light of love,
Graciella and Theresa
