Graciella speaks. I channel her words, wisdom and sentiment. -Theresa
Treachery: Graciella reminds us that the most severe of all types of treacherous acts are the ones we hold against ourselves. As individuals we are quick to point out others’ faults and mal-aligned actions toward us but we are loathe to look within ourselves.
It may be time for a exploration of the ways that we have debted ourselves or acted in treacherous ways against ourselves. Frequently when we explore the terrain within we are connecting the pain and hurts we find with what others have done to us. We are unlikely to assess our actions that may have injured ourselves.
As we ask ourselves what part have we played in the misconstruction of our lives we may need the listening ear of another. We may benefit by bookending our exploration with a cool drink of lemonade or a walk amongst some flowers. There is no rule that tells us when we engage in the challenging work of looking within that we must do so harshly. Gentleness is key.
I will be gentle toward myself as I explore my inner terrain.
In light and love,
Graciella and Theresa
