Graciella speaks. I channel her words, wisdom, and sentiment. -Theresa
The Toreador: Graciella asks you, what are your motives?
We often take action and make decisions that may not be intrinsic of or essential for the self, although we believe that we do have our best interests in mind. The image is of the toreador who puts himself in danger for applause as he teases, taunts, injures, and ultimately, murders an animal who has been penned and then let loose for this tragedy. This is all done for the enjoyment of others.
There are tales of Ferdinand the Bull. There are tales of toreadors who have walked away from this spectacle when they have come to a deeper understanding of love and compassion for self and then other.
What actions are you about to take that are for the adulations of others? Go deep. You may decide to alter your moves when you seek to truly understand your motives.
In the light of compassion,
Graciella and Theresa
