The Fool:
No one wants to be the fool. Even less we desire to be made fun of for our thoughts, our actions, and what we may have thought were the best ideas! The list of things we don't want to be taunted about is long. But how often do we make fun of those we believe are fools? We may say things about others in judgmental tones, evidence that we know better than the next Joe who probably did the best they could with the information that was available to them. The rabbit depicts fear, and it also signifies the quickness and proliferation of gossip and criticism no one enjoys either on one's own side or the other. We may sneak around, as the fool does in this image, believing we have the treasure we've all been looking for and it's submerged in the waters of emotion. A light shining on the fool shows he's been found out, and the jig is up. Will he continue to act the fool and pretend he is the owner of the treasure which can be gold coins, jewels, knowledge, or maybe even wisdom? Know yourself. Are you the fool? If not, assess how you treat the fool. Do you show him the way of wisdom and compassion? Do you kiss him up to your Higher Power, knowing you can't do much more for him? What are your motives? Are they clear, like the sparkling water the treasures are set in? There is much to think about with this week's card.
In love and light!
