Graciella la Gitana Oracle © Weekly Reading

Can you imagine your inner world and your outer world being one and the same? This past autumn I traveled to France and Spain on a Black Madonna tour. It was with a private group of women who’ve traveled together before- on similar spiritual paths. Not entirely, but we all have the same core beliefs and practice them in different ways. On the trip, I realized that my inner world was being reflected in the outer one. It wasn’t altogether comfortable.

Throughout my life as an adult, I’ve had dreams of men coming into the bathrooms I’ve stood in. The men are usually black, they are standing in the stall, coming into the bathroom, or just walking through. There’s never been violence or anything truly uncomfortable happening in the dreams. As I’ve done much emotional processing and spiritual work, the bathrooms themselves have upgraded. Sometimes they are camp-like bathrooms with loads of people walking in and out. One bathroom door had the name of a person written on it that I knew only through conversation. This post isn’t about my lucid dreams but it’s pertinent.

When I landed in Paris, I went to the women’s bathroom but it was closed for repair. I had to head over to another bathroom and stood in line for the disabled private one because I was in a men’s room. From then on I’d say men were in the bathroom about four or five times on that trip for various reasons. None of which, I thought was a good enough reason. I have men in my life but sharing with strangers, seeing them with their backs turned toward me, was symbolic of something. It was probably at the third bathroom, I shared the fact that my day life had turned into my dream world with the other women. These bizarre, surreal bathroom experiences assured me that my life was turning upside down and inside out and I knew intuitively to hang on for the ride. This message had never been as blatantly given to me as during that adventure. I’m still holding on.

Graciella speaks; I channel her words, wisdom, and sentiment- Theresa

This morning, I pulled this week’s card. I felt Graciella’s presence thickly in my being. She is here. I put the card near to my laptop to begin writing this post and lo and behold, the image matched the screen saver.

So, I believe that I’m somehow back in that world of inner and outer reflection. That is the message for you this week. Allow your inner and outer worlds to reflect each other. Observe how what you want to manifest in the external must first be manifested inside or sometimes vice versa. Have you thought about taking a yoga class or a meditation group but were too irritated to take part or just put it off for when you felt calmer? The two must be synchronous but in order to do that it takes practice. I probably wrote this before, but my Karate sensei used to tell us you are who you practice to be. That still holds a special place in my heart and in my actions.

Look at the picture above and note how accurately the spiritual card is reflected in a photo taken by someone else, in some other place, in another time. The Universes brought them together today. Graciella’s charge in her spiritual life is to bring compassion to the plane upon which we live. When we practice of the act of compassion to another it allows us and encourages us to practice acts of compassion toward ourselves. The lake in the image depicts the mirror-like interaction.

Reflect the peaceful, loving, compassionate person that you are into the world and watch it manifest in your daily life.

All is made beautiful,

There’s a cold rain in New York and a chill that I pulled my collar up against as I walked our two dogs earlier this evening. I wasn’t too happy since Gingy’s 16lb. little body turns into 50lb. rock when she doesn’t want to venture out in weather that seeps through coat, sweater, and skin. Cold and wet. I’d almost forgotten that this week’s card is of the concept of Water/Agua.

Graciella speaks; I channel her words and sentiment- Theresa

Earlier today, I had pulled this week’s card. It was the Water/ Agua card. Water is fascinating in that it can take so many forms. It’s one of those materials that can be solid, liquid, or gaseous. Amazing, don’t you think? Water can wear down rocks. Water can become a place of tranquility and relaxation. A waterfall that we stand under shouting with glee is the same as that which we can turn a hose on someone in full force to stop them from taking action such as in a demonstration. We can all think of a million ways that water serves us. Without water ingested there is no life. Just ask that tree that no one watered when it was planted. Just ask a child whose lost his or her life as well. Without water there can be tragedy.

The concept card for water shows two children having a great time playing with this magical substance. Unconscious of the problems of the world. Or maybe they are conscious but are still taking time for innocent fun. The message of the card is to allow the feminine principle of water to enter your mind. Be like the water. Flow gently down a stream. Gush like a geyser. Allow yourself to be under the direction of the Great Feminine. She is there to protect you, loves to hear your laughter, and asks for you to protect Her too. Take care of the waters of your environment. Turn off the tap. Save some. Cleanse yourself of woes. Take a spiritual bath. When drinking a glass, imagine its healing properties course through your physical being.

In what ways have you cherished water? In what ways might you have abused this gift of the Mother? What can you do differently to honor the gift that you received from nature’s love?

Sit with a bowl of water. Scry. Listen to it. Gaze at the images that may reveal themselves to you. What does it all mean? Solidify your relationship with water this week. Engage in the experience of wonder and love.

In breath and kindness,

Graciella la Gitana Oracle Intimacy-Intimidad

The chosen card for this week is Intimacy/Intimidad. It’s almost shocking in that the word Intimidad brings to mind the word Intimidate. Wow! I might have thought that before but not so deeply as today. Graciella wanted me to see that as I channel her week message.

Graciella speaks; I channel her words and sentiment- Theresa

When we are working a genuinely true, loyal, loving relationship we are bound to consider how intimate we will be with other. The usual intimation (like how I did that?) is that intimacy, in our common usage of the word, is of a sexual nature. That may well be so, but there are so many other levels to cross prior to or alongside those activities.

Do I trust the person that I’m allowing to close to me? If I don’t, will I accept my intuitions or will I give that person a chance to show me who they truly are. It’s very likely that they remind me of someone who’s made me uncomfortable before and I treat them as I would that other person.

At some point, when I worked monthly in a food coop there was a woman who was really mean to me and either ignored me, or barred her teeth at me. I tried to ignore her because I liked the job I was engaged in. Eventually, she shared that she realized I reminded her of a teacher she once had. After that we were able to communicate in a different way. She did apologize. Life was easier after that. We both were grateful. This is not to mean that you shouldn’t listen to your hunch or first feeling. That is something we are meant to rely on, it is an inborn part of ourselves that we should acknowledge and nurture.

This week, Graciella asks you to observe your boundaries. Are they too open or are they wedged shut? Can you use a filter to help you sift through what is yours as you develop your new relationship with either someone else or yourself? Be cautionary. Life and the ways we handle it aren’t really as quicksilvery as we encounter on social media where life seems to happen faster than reality. Be open but allow yourself to be in the grey as long as you need to. Life is not a race.

In love and light,

Graciella la Gitana Oracle – The Rascal

I love the image of the rascal and the wily expression on his little face. This child figure is both young and old simultaneously. The little white dog, a symbol of fidelity, is strutting happily along side the rascal. There is the dark figure of someone watching in the wings. The fruit and vegetable stores are abundant with stock. Is the child planning to make a heist? Grab one of the fruit and run? Or is he innocently playing with the old fashioned hoop that is not seen as a toy in today’s world. I think of the many children who are stuck indoors playing video games. There are so many children who are unable to get into the naïve troubles of the past. The situations that help them to grow and learn life’s lessons. Some of the children of days gone by had to steal in order to help ensure that their families were fed. Young one’s had to be old. This is what I see in today’s oracle card.

Graciella speaks; I channel her words and sentiment- Theresa

This week, Graciella wants you to be aware of the innocence we or others bring to us. We shouldn’t take for granted what we see in the outside reflection. There is wisdom from the young. Or maybe we are to impart some wisdom to those who come behind us in the line of humanity. A child is just that- a child. Sometimes old ones believe that the child knows or should know more than they do. That is something that one might bring in to an interaction that isn’t exactly founded in truth.

On the other hand, we may need to bring a sense of innocence and play to the little one or the elder who has lost their ability to embody the joy of life. We may not be aware of who that is that comes to us. That being may have a child-like characteristics and while their actions may be a challenge to discern because of their outside appearance, Graciella suggests meeting them with the quality of gentleness and compassion. Those concepts go a long way in nurturing the kindness that may needed in a situation where you might feel a cocotazo, hard rap, to the head would suffice. More will be revealed in this situation.

In love and kindness,

It’s a rare day that I pick the Writer card. This one is true to my heart and I was surprised to pull it today as the week’s card. I always ask Graciella what is her vision for us to focus on for the coming week. This is the concept she chose.

The image of the type writer shows that it’s an old one. There are beautiful pink roses in a vase behind it. A gold charm bracelet lies carelessly aside. A bowl full of healthy fish swim happily in their own kingdom to the side.

Graciella la Gitana Oracle- The Writer

Graciella’s message for this week is this: as you prepare your words in your work, in your personal or other writings, or in events that you will be attending, give time for diplomacy and accuracy in what you are writing. Know that others will be listening or reading your words with fervor. What is your beautiful message for the world?. Today’s social media and ability to go viral should bring to us the importance of choosing words wisely and with care. Am I parroting what others have said? Do I promote their message for self-aggrandizement? Are my words needed or would things be better off if I decided to use the art of silence, peace-making, and love?

Graciella speaks; I channel her words and sentiment- Theresa

Graciella tells me that words can be used to profess love, for fear-mongering, and to provide knowledge. The written word goes far. The ability to use words with a underlying goal of compassion and friendship is a gift. Be aware of the power of words this week. You will never regret words spoken in truth with tact and delicacy.

In love and respect,

Graciella la Gitana Oracle card Spring

How wonderful that we have just entered the time of winter and, yet, the card we pull for this week is that of Spring. The undercurrent of something new coming toward us is in the air. The crescent moon is waxing. These are times for sitting in reflection, while acknowledging the stirrings within our minds, our bellies, and our hearts.

Graciella speaks; I channel her words and sentiment- Theresa

We are in the latter part of the decade and we await with open arms the coming new year, the coming decade. It’s akin to a birthday. What new things are we looking forward to receiving and what things are we willing to let go? By meditating on these thoughts and notions and desires, we allow ourselves to be true to our dreams and what is within us that longs to be called foward into our external lives.

We all have the artist within, creations waiting to be born, love wanting to encompass the deeper parts of ourselves and the desire to share our larger selves with others. The image of the cherry blossoms brings forth gentleness in the pink of newness. The background of the expansive sky is blue and white. These colors are often connected to healing, light, and of course, the Mother, who has a spirituality that many of us wish to emulate. The tree branches are thin but are enough to withstand the beauty of the weighty flowers.

Sometimes are dreams seem impossible to achieve and remain dreams, but they can also be brought to frution. As you create your 2020 vision boards, allow yourself the full expanse of your desires to be acknowledged. I always place an empty circle in the middle of my board. That is my Higher Power circle. That circle leaves an opening for a dream my HP has for me that I never considered to come true. It also allows that dream which is not mine to slip away without resentment or rancor.

Allow the beauty of this time to enter your soul. It is a time for us, enveloped in the love of something Higher, to move forward in realizing our true selves.

Graciella la Gitana Oracle © The Fortune Teller- La Adivinadora

Click on the pic to purchase a Graciella la Gitana Oracle deck for yourself or a friend

The large black dog sitting toward the rear of this card image appears friendly, relaxed, and, to me tonight, wise. He knows that everything is going to be all right. There is fear in the face of the woman querying the hidden reader. I’ve thought in the past that the woman in white is the fortune teller, today I see it differently. Or maybe not so differently, but she is definitely getting a reading.

The message is that no matter how expert you may be in whatever your work, your craft, or your belief systems, there is always room to ask for outside help. None of us know everything. There is always outside information that can augment what we already know. Sometimes ego gets in the way and we are loathe to seek outside counsel. There are remedies for our ailments and solutions for our problems.

Graciella speaks; I channel her words and sentiment- Theresa

Bones, shells, water, tarot, oracles, and palms are merely a few of the tools from which we may receive information. Don’t be afraid to show your vulnerabilities and to ask for help in whatever your situation. We humans are here to interact and transact with each other in this marketplace of life. Giving and receiving allows for equity and balance.

No one of us is too big to ask for a kindness.

Kindness/Caridad

When shuffling the cards for this reading, this one fell out of the deck. It
wanted to show itself. The concept is so eager to take its place in the front
of the room this week. I replaced the card back in the deck, finished
shuffling, and centered thoroughly while asking Graciella to share her message.
Again, the Kindness/Caridad card came shining through.

Graciella speaks; I channel her words and sentiment- Theresa

I find myself calling this card the Compassion card. The image is lovely and
shows hands reaching out holding a beautiful flower. Is the person holding the
flower extending or receiving the gift of kindness? Just like the dark blue
waters with frothy edges, filled with the tender pink shells reflecting the
stars of the Mother, the tides ebb and flow. Give and receive. Allow yourself
both this week as most of us return to the public after a long Thanksgiving
weekend. Maybe you’ve worked hard contending with consumers during these last
few days that are focused on shopping, shopping, and more shopping! Maybe, you
will be the one to stay home during the week, putting your feet up, or taking a
bath filled with lavender salts. It’s possible that the holiday wasn’t kind,
and you’ve dealt with grief, loss, or the bad tempers of those around you.

Whether you’re in a place of inner peace or not, the message is to be kind to yourself and the two-legged and the four-legged creations who you meet this
week. And to those who fly and crawl and swim for that matter. Isn’t that a
simple message? Yes, on the surface, but not so easy when we encounter
different energies that may not resonate with ours.

By not judging, criticizing, and pointing out what we perceive as others’ faults, we can enjoy the overall message of Graciella’s work that is about walking in Compassionate Consciousness on this Earth. Try doing that with yourself as the focus and you may find that is a challenge too. Many of us have incorporated the messages that I’m not good enough, I will never succeed, or I have no value. Turn that kindness in toward your heart and practice saying I am good enough, I am made of love, I deserve to be loved, I am a light beam that my HP put on this Earth to shine. How does that feel? Do you believe those words?

My karate teacher, Sensei Ted Pritchard, use to tell us that “You are who you practice to be.” I believed those words years ago and still believe them today. I use them in a different context, but they are true today as well. Turn the light of kindness in toward yourself and see how the glow emanates from you towards the those in your life. What a beautiful brightness we see!

Graciella’s Spiritual Reading in the time of the Full Beaver Moon

Photo from Shifting-vibration.com

A full moon is at its zenith in terms of waxing. We think of waxing as the time to work towards things or take action on what we’d like to come to fruition. The full beaver moon certainly depicts one who is busy building, developing, storing, or demolishing in a quest for creation. When we create there’s usually a hope that whatever structure we’ve built will be strong and withstand monsoon rains and winds if need be. We use our strong teeth to whittle, to break, to tug, as we establish our place on this earth.

Along with the traditional native view points of the Beaver Moon, we are also enjoying Taurus in the Full Moon. We Taureans are sure footed bulls and love to have comfort, the kind such as the beaver has worked hard for and we may look lazy standing there chewing our grass. We are really sensual beings and are enjoying the fruits of our labor. We Taureans also often allow things to slide until it becomes just a little too much for us. Then, watch out, we will stampede and anything in our way should be wary. We will do our best to attempt to stop what we believe is not for higher good, either personal or universal.

Graciella la Gitana Oracle- Earth/Tierra

Graciella’s reading for this week, comes from the Earth/Tierra card. As we, not only Taureans but everyone of all signs, gaze upon the beauty of our accomplishments, eat from the abundance of what we’ve grown and gathered this autumn, and look toward the coming season, are strongly encouraged to return a gift to the Earth. It reminds me of smoking pipe in a spiritual manner. We always put a little tobacco back into our pouches when we’ve filled up the bowls of our pipe. We always give back.

Now is the time to give thanks for what has been created. It is also time to offer libations to the Earth. It is always time to do either.

With love,

Graciella and Theresa

Graciella la Gitana Oracle © Weekly Reading- Treachery/Traición

Treachery/Traición

What is so wonderful about this buffoon is that he is us. We are him. How often are we unable to see our true reflections and how we are seen in the world? I think, in my case, often. Are you downplaying yourself? Not allowing yourself the full glory that you are? Maybe old tapes continue to rewind and you are unable to listen to your inner being because the old beliefs take precedent over the self knowledge that might be benefitting to you- if only you’d let it.

Or maybe it’s the opposite! Oh my! Maybe your ego has spoken a little too loudly and not allowed the true spirit of what you are made of shine through. The idea of going from novice to expert entails a process. One that may take longer than you’d like. Have you just completed a program and are now about to teach? That’s fine. But what about the experts who are seasoned and have years of experience who you are eating lunch with? Maybe it’s time to take a listen. A listen and learn break.

Not all sizes fit all- as much as we’d like to believe they do. Allow the expert assist you in finding your feet again. Land gently on the earth or in the water as our friend in the image probably will. Don’t allow yourself to be blocked because you are missing your true essence or asking for feedback from someone who also doesn’t see you as you are- a special light in this space and time.

Graciella insists that I send her love and wishes for goodness in your lives. That is her and my desire for you! And don’t forget to take time to meditate!

With love,

Graciella and Theresa
